After tallying eight points in a 21-9 win at No. 9 Syracuse over the weekend, UNC senior attacker Chris Gray was selected as the ACC Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for the fourth time in 2021.

Gray scored two goals in just over seven minutes as UNC sprinted out to a 5-0 lead in the early portion of the game, then went on to add six assists to his scoring total.

The win was UNC’s first road win at Syracuse since 1991 and represented the most goals any Tar Heel team has scored in an ACC game since 1994.

UNC is 9-2 this season with a 2-2 mark against conference opponents. Gray leads the team in scoring by a wide margin with 68 points, having racked up 37 goals and 31 assists.

Nicky Solomon is second on the team in scoring with just 36 total points.

The Tar Heels will close the regular season with ACC showdowns against Notre Dame (Apr. 25) and Duke (May 2).
