After exploding for six goals and four assists in UNC’s 16-8 win over Mercer last Saturday, UNC senior attacker Chris Gray earned his third ACC Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week honor of the season on Wednesday.
Through the top-ranked Tar Heels’ first seven games–all wins–Gray has amassed 28 goals and 17 assists for a whopping 45 total points.
His 10 points against Mercer tied a career-high, which he set while playing for Boston University prior to joining UNC for the shortened 2020 season.
Gray also added four goals and an assist on Thursday night as the Tar Heels defeated No. 8 Virginia 16-13 on the road in their ACC opener–UNC’s first win over the Cavaliers since 2017.
