The Elitist Attitude of Carrboro

When we moved to Carrboro a little over a year ago, we really thought we had found the perfect place to live for a long time. We made the move from Raleigh wanting to live in a more economically diverse area with proximity to local eateries and stores.

Almost immediately we realized that the area was not what we thought it was. The first instances was when we realized that no one really takes leash or nuisance animal laws seriously. Nearly every day, we have to yell at someone to leash their dog. Again, this is a town ordinance, yet no one ever seems to be around to catch people. We have had dogs for decades now and have never seen a community so disregard the safety of others.

This is just a symptom of the elitist and above the law attitude of Carrboro. We had much more evidence as Covid-19 has been among us, we have witnessed so many people not have regard for others’ safety.

There are many more areas to talk about, but I will leave it at this. We are gladly leaving this horrible and poorly led town. It is quickly becoming an elitist area only for those who let their children and animals run free.
