Perfect Game released its annual preseason Top 25 rankings for the upcoming college baseball season on Wednesday, ranking the Tar Heels at No. 17 as they look to make a run to this year’s College World Series.

Led by preseason First Team All-American designated hitter Aaron Sabato, expectations are just as high as always for head coach Mike Fox and company.

The Tar Heels are one of seven ACC teams ranked in the poll, joining No. 1 Louisville, No. 7 Miami, No. 11 Duke, No. 14 Florida State, No. 21 NC State and No. 25 Virginia.

UNC is scheduled to begin the 2020 season with nine straight home games at Boshamer Stadium, beginning on Feb. 14 with a three-game series against Middle Tennessee State.
