After months of campaigns, voting for the 2019 elections begins Wednesday, October 16, as Orange County residents make their choices for municipal races and the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City School Board.
The Board of Elections office in Hillsborough on South Cameron Street is the first early voting location to open this election cycle. The other early voting locations – Carrboro Town Hall on West Main Street, the Chapel of the Cross church on East Franklin Street, and the Seymour Senior Center on Homestead Road – will open on Saturday, October 19.
At all locations, early voting will be available from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays, and 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays. All four locations will be closed Sunday, October 20 and Saturday, October 26.
The Board of Elections says same-day voter registration is available at all early voting sites during the early voting period. Those completing the same-day registration must bring a valid form of any ID and must vote during Early Voting rather than on Election Day.
Early voting will be available in Orange County until Friday, November 1.
