Less than 24 hours removed from its first series sweep over Georgia Tech since 1996, the red-hot UNC baseball team found out it has moved up five spots to No. 10 in the newest D1Baseball.com Top 25–which was released Monday morning.

It marks the first time in over two months the Tar Heels have found themselves ranked that high, as they started the year No. 6 before tumbling out of the poll completely due to a 7-7 start to the season.

Since that time, however, UNC has gone 20-6 and rocketed straight to the top of the ACC Coastal Division.

Defending national champion Florida remains No. 1 in the poll, with Stanford, NC State, Texas Tech and Oregon State making up the rest of the top five.

Teams in the top 10 ahead of UNC include: No. 6 Ole Miss, No. 7 Arkansas, No. 8 East Carolina and No. 9 UCLA.

In addition to the Wolfpack and Tar Heels, the ACC is also represented by No. 12 Clemson, No. 13 Duke and No. 16 Florida State.

Next up for the UNC this week is a game against No. 18 Coastal Carolina on Tuesday, another against Western Carolina on Wednesday and a crucial weekend series against No. 3 NC State from Friday through Sunday.
