After a vote from the league’s five head coaches, the ACC released its All-ACC Men’s Lacrosse Team on Thursday.

Because there are only five teams in the conference, there are no First and Second Team distinctions–just a single 18-player roster.

After finishing the season fourth in the conference, UNC (6-7, 1-3 ACC) had just three players selected.

Attacker Luke Goldstock, midfielder Tate Jozokos and defender Austin Pifani–all seniors–represent the Tar Heels on the roster.

Goldstock tied for the team lead with 35 points (24 goals, 11 assists) in the regular season, while Jozokos and Pifani provided most of their support on the defensive end.

It’s the first All-ACC honor for both Goldstock and Jozokos, while Pifani made the roster for a second straight season.

Duke led all schools with five players chosen, while regular season champion Syracuse had four. Notre Dame and Virginia tied UNC with three All-ACC selections apiece.

The Tar Heels will face top-seeded Syracuse in the ACC Tournament Semifinals this Friday in Durham at Koskinen Stadium.
