The UNC baseball program announced Tuesday that it has agreed to host James Madison this weekend for a three-game series to open the 2021 regular season.

Kentucky was the Tar Heels’ originally scheduled opponent for this weekend, but the series was postponed this past Sunday due to COVID-19 issues within the Wildcats’ program.

The Tar Heels’ series against James Madison is set to begin on Friday, with first pitch scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday’s game is slated to start at 2 p.m., while Sunday’s series finale is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start time.
