This week’s Hometown Hero is Mandey Brown, the owner of Imbibe and Zog’s Art Bar & Pool Hall who set up a donation center for people in need following the damage and flooding from Hurricane Florence.
“I opened up Imbibe, and then I have Zog’s upstairs as well. So between the two places we’re available to accept donations from morning to night until 2 a.m. Honestly I thought I was going to get, you know, a suitcase of water and a thing of soup, just some things here and there. But I’m telling you, I got so many donations the first day that we couldn’t even open for business, we couldn’t have a viable dining room. It was amazing and so exciting!”
