This week’s Hometown Hero, presented by Hendrick Southpoint, is Craig Lloyd.

Craig was at the heart of the movement behind “Eno the Emu,” which enthralled Orange County for a few months. Craig and his daughters started a parody Facebook page of the emu, which attracted several thousand followers.

“What we did with, we tried to go in and give him a personality,” he said. “So we did a little fun post and things like that. You know, Hillsborough has been through some rough times here lately with some things and so we wanted to keep him not political. We wanted to keep him just happy and just a good community ambassador.”
