Playing on the road in Buies Creek on Tuesday night, the 21st-ranked UNC men’s soccer team fought to a 1-1 draw against the host Campbell Camels.

Inclement weather forced the teams into playing on a wet field, but both teams still managed to have some success offensively.

Campbell (12-2-2) scored the first goal in the 20th minute off of the head of Bissofi Dotte, a direct result of a well-placed corner kick. The Tar Heels (7-4-3) responded with a goal by Alex Rose just under four minutes later to tie things back up.

UNC finished the game with a total of 18 shots compared to only seven for Campbell, but was unable to find the back of the net again–even through two overtime periods.
