Seeking to become just the second Tar Heel women’s tennis player to ever win the singles tournament at the ITA All-American Championships, UNC senior Alexa Graham was defeated by Kelly Lahey of Pepperdine in straight sets 6-4, 7-5.

The match was nationally televised on ESPNU and took place at the University of Tulsa.

Graham and Lahey have already played one another this season at the Oracle/ITA Masters tournament last month, with Lahey also coming out on top in that match.

Against all other opponents this season, Graham–the nation’s No. 4 ranked player–is 10-0.

Jamie Loeb remains the only Tar Heel to win the ITA All-American Championship, doing so as a true freshman in 2013 after winning 11 matches in nine days.
