The UNC football team held its spot at No. 17 in Tuesday’s edition of the College Football Playoff rankings, after a week in which the Tar Heels earned a 49-9 victory at home over Western Carolina.
Head coach Mack Brown’s team has gone 7-3 through 10 games, and will close the regular season this Saturday on the road against No. 10 Miami.
Alabama, Notre Dame, Clemson and Ohio State again represent the four teams in playoff position. Texas A&M and Florida are No. 5 and No. 6, respectively.
The rest of the top 10 consists of Iowa State, Cincinnati, Georgia and Miami.
With No. 23 NC State entering the rankings this week, the ACC has five teams in this week’s rankings–as the Wolfpack join Notre Dame, Clemson, Miami and UNC.
