The UNC softball team cruised to a 6-0 win on the road over the Louisville Cardinals on Friday night, while drawing a single-game school record 14 walks in the process.
Junior Brittany Pickett struck out eight hitters and earned her 19th win of the season on the mound for the Tar Heels, who improved to 31-15 overall and 16-6 against conference opponents with the win.
Louisville, meanwhile, fell to 32-16 with an 11-8 record against conference opponents
UNC scored all six of its runs in the first two innings, before cruising the rest of the way for the victory. Five different players drove in at least one run.
