Britton Rogers threw the 10th perfect game in the history of the UNC softball program in an 8-0 victory against Drexel on Thursday night, and the Tar Heels won the second game of the doubleheader 16-1 to sweep the day against the Dragons.

Rogers is now only the second pitcher in program history to throw multiple perfect games as a Tar Heel. The redshirt senior from Georgia finished with eight strikeouts on just 50 pitches through five innings. The Carolina bats supported her with four runs in the first inning, one in the third and three in the fourth. The game was stopped in the top of the fifth.

In the second game of the doubleheader, Carolina answered a Drexel run in the top of the first with 10 in the bottom of the frame, four in the third and two in the fourth before the game was again stopped in the fifth.

The Tar Heels have scored 40 runs across their last three games and are now 6-2 on the young season. Carolina will host another doubleheader on Friday, with the first game against Princeton scheduled for 3 p.m. and the second against George Mason scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
