The UNC men’s basketball program released its official non-conference schedule for the upcoming 2019-20 regular season on Thursday, with the non-conference season set to begin on the road in Wilmington on Nov. 8 against UNCW.

This game will come after the actual regular season opener at home on Nov. 6 against Notre Dame–a conference match-up set to be televised on the brand new ACC Network.

Following the non-conference opener in Wilmington, the Tar Heels will host a pair of games at the Smith Center against Gardner-Webb (Nov. 15) and Elon (Nov. 20).

These two home games will serve as tune-ups of sorts, as the team then travels to the Bahamas for the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament over Thanksgiving (Nov. 27-29)–which will feature Alabama, Gonzaga, Iowa State, Michigan, Oregon, Seton Hall and Southern Mississippi in addition to the Tar Heels.

After the tropical road trip, UNC returns home to Chapel Hill in order to host Ohio State on Dec. 4 as part of the 21st annual ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

An 11-day break will follow that showdown against the Buckeyes before another home game against Wofford on Dec. 15.

The non-conference schedule is then highlighted by a huge road game in Spokane against Gonzaga (Dec. 18), which will serve as the second leg in a scheduled home-and-home series between the two college basketball powerhouses.

UNC heads to Las Vegas after that game for a game against fellow blue-blood UCLA on Dec. 21 as part of the CBS Sports Classic before finishing its non-conference slate at home on Dec. 30 against Yale.

This year will be the first season that the ACC will feature 20 conference games, which is the reason for the shortened 11-game non-conference schedule.
