In its final home match of the regular season, the eighth-ranked UNC men’s tennis team had no troubles taking care of the Clemson Tigers on the way to a 4-0 shutout victory.

As a result, the Tar Heels’ lone senior–Robert Kelly–earned a win on his Senior Day and the team improved to 18-4 overall and 9-1 against ACC competition.

This after cruising to the doubles point with a 6-0 victory by Simon Soendergaard and Mac Kiger, followed by a 6-1 win from Blaine Boyden and Benjamin Sigouin.

Singles competition brought more of the same–as Boyden, Kiger and Josh Peck each rolled to straight set victories with ease to clinch the match for UNC.

Clemson, meanwhile, dropped to 9-10 (3-8 ACC) with the loss.
