This year’s UNC men’s soccer schedule was revealed on Monday, with the Tar Heels set to play 11 of its 17 regular season matches at their brand new on-campus stadium.

The season begins at home with the Carolina Nike Classic, an event in which UNC will open the season on Aug. 30 against Creighton and then turn right around and host UCF on Sept. 1.

Harvard will then visit the new stadium on Sept. 6 before the Tar Heels travel to Greensboro for their first road game of the season on Sept. 9 against UNCG.

Conference play begins for UNC on Sept. 13 with a trip to Blacksburg to face Virginia Tech, a game that precedes four straight home matches against Davidson (Sept. 17), Notre Dame (Sept. 20), Duke (Sept. 27) and UNCW (Oct. 1).

The Tar Heels will then hit the road again to face Pittsburgh on Oct. 4. That trip to Pennsylvania will be the last time UNC has to leave the state of North Carolina until the season finale.

Home games against West Virginia (Oct. 8) and Syracuse (Oct. 12) follow the game in Pittsburgh, with road trips to Wake Forest (Oct. 18) and Campbell (Oct. 22) soon to follow.

Closing out the regular season will be two more home games against Louisville (Oct. 25) and Appalachian State (Oct. 29) and a trip to Charlottesville to take on Virginia (Nov. 1).
