Rainy and windy conditions produced extremely high scores during Saturday’s second round of the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate Invitational, which saw No. 6 UNC fall back three places from fourth to seventh on the team leaderboard.
The Tar Heels combined to shoot 15-over-par for the round to bring their score for the tournament to 12-over par.
Sophomore Ryan Gerard was the lone bright spot for UNC, as he put together a score of 1-over-par to stay just three shots behind tournament leader William Paysse of Texas A&M.
Duke currently leads the team tournament at 1-under-par, followed by Texas A&M (+2) and UCLA (+4).
