Organizers for this year’s Las Vegas Invitational men’s basketball event announced Thursday that UNC will take on Texas in the third round of the tournament on Nov. 22, with the winner moving on to the championship game the next day against either UCLA or Michigan State.
This game will follow the Tar Heels’ first two Las Vegas Invitational matchups, which will actually be held at the Dean Smith Center against Tennessee Tech and St. Francis (PA) on Nov. 16 and Nov. 19 respectively.
It will also represent UNC’s third appearance all-time in the event, with the Tar Heels having posted a 7-1 record in it to this point.
All of the games will be televised on Fox and Fox Sports 1, while also being broadcast live on WCHL.
