The UNC baseball team announced through the team Twitter account on Monday that junior catcher Cody Roberts will miss up to two weeks after an undisclosed surgical procedure.
Roberts–who has also spent time playing in the outfield this season–went 2-for-3 with a double in UNC’s 8-6 win over Duke on Sunday. He left the game in the seventh inning and was taken to the emergency room, however, after taking a foul ball to the groin area.
Over the course of 2018, the Georgia native has started all 50 games while hitting .277 with four home runs and 32 RBIs.
Cody Roberts Update: Cody had surgery at UNC yesterday and will miss approximately 1-2 weeks.
