All nine starters either scored or drove in a run on Tuesday at Boshamer Stadium, as the fourth-ranked UNC baseball team cruised to an 11-2 victory over the Elon Phoenix.

Sophomore Brandon Riley ripped a three-run homer in the first inning, as the Tar Heels never trailed during their blowout win.

Junior centerfielder Brian Miller also had four hits for UNC (32-9), which continued to assert its dominance over lesser opponents.

Head coach Mike Fox used freshman Tyler Baum as his starting pitcher for the first four innings, but UNC ultimately used four different relievers to finish out the job.

Elon was led by leftfielder Kyle Jackson, who reached base on three occasions–including a solo home run in the top of the second frame.

The Tar Heels limited the Phoenix to just five hits during the game, while scoring all of their runs within the first six innings.
