The fourth-ranked UNC men’s tennis team set a new program record by earning its 11th ACC victory of the season on Sunday, after sweeping the Miami Hurricanes 4-0 on the road.
Rain caused the match to be delayed, and ultimately scrapped the doubles portion of the day.
Skipping straight to singles play, the Tar Heels (20-4, 11-1 ACC) won each of the first four matches to clinch a share of its first regular season conference title since 2004.
Mac Kiger, Benjamin Sigouin, William Blumberg and Blaine Boyden were the four Tar Heels to pick up victories for head coach Sam Paul.
UNC will share the title with Wake Forest, which earned the No. 1 seed for the ACC Tournament by virtue of a head-to-head victory over the Tar Heels earlier this season.
