Fresh off the program’s first ever series sweep in Tallahassee over then No. 12 Florida State, head coach Mike Fox and the UNC baseball team jumped three spots in this week’s D1Baseball.com Top 25–checking in at No. 5.

It marks the highest the Tar Heels (22-6, 9-3 ACC) have been ranked all season.

UNC–which currently sits atop the ACC Coastal Division–is one of three teams in the conference among the top five, along with Atlantic Division leaders Louisville (No. 2) and Clemson (No. 4).

Top-ranked Oregon State and No. 3 TCU comprise the rest of the group.

The ACC has six teams among the poll this week, which is tied with the SEC for most by any league.

Florida State slipped to No. 22, with No. 23 Wake Forest and No. 25 Virginia just barely making the cut.
