The start time for Thursday’s women’s basketball rivalry game between UNC and NC State has been pushed up to 4:00 p.m. due to dangerous road conditions resulting from snow and ice.

As a result, admission to the game–which is being held at Carmichael Arena in Chapel Hill–will be free for everyone.

Those who already purchased tickets are eligible to use their ticket as a voucher for any remaining UNC home game this season.

Students who decide to attend will be entered to win a pair of UNC Nike Free Trainer 5.0 shoes. In addition, the first 400 students to arrive will get a free hot dog and the first 500 to arrive will receive a free pop socket for their phones.

WCHL will no longer be broadcasting the game due to the new start time, but it will be televised on the ACC Network Extra online service.

The Tar Heels enter the game at sixth place in the conference standings with a 13-5 record (3-2 ACC), while NC State is just behind in seventh (14-5, 3-3 ACC).
