This year’s 14th annual Fastbreak vs. Cancer Breakfast hosted by UNC head men’s basketball coach Roy Williams will be held at the Dean E. Smith Center on Tuesday Sept. 25.

Over the years, this event has raised more than $2.5 million for cancer research at the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Registration for the breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. on Sept. 25, with the breakfast starting at 8 a.m.

Former UNC football coach Mack Brown–a member of the College Football Hall of Fame Class of 2018–will be the keynote speaker.

All proceeds of the $100 tickets needed to attend the event will be donated to the Lineberger Center. A link to buy tickets can be found here.

Live and silent auctions for signed UNC memorabilia, tickets and exclusive UNC athletics-related experiences will also be featured at the event.

“Every person knows someone in their lives who has been touched by cancer,” Williams said, in a statement released by the university. “It’s had an impact on my family and closest friends, it’s something we want to beat badly and the incredible researchers and doctors at UNC Lineberger are making great strides towards doing that. Please join us at the Fastbreak Breakfast and by participating in the auctions.”
