The ACC announced its group of football legends for 2018 on Thursday, with former offensive line standout Ron Rusnak selected as the representative for UNC.

Rusnak played on three bowl teams for the Tar Heels from 1970-1972, while winning the 1972 Jacobs Trophy as the top blocker in the ACC in his senior year.

That same season, Rusnak was a unanimous All-American after helping UNC finish 11-1 and earn a berth in the Sun Bowl.

He was named a First Team All-ACC performer in 1971 and 1972, and paved the way for a Tar Heel rushing attack that averaged 265 yards per game during his three seasons.

Rusnak is also one of 27 former players with his jersey honored at Kenan Stadium.

The full list of ACC football legends in the Class of 2018 includes: Boston College’s Mathias Kiwanuka, Clemson’s Brian Dawkins, Duke’s Steve Spurrier, Florida State’s Bobby Bowden, Georgia Tech’s Joshua Nesbitt, Louisville’s Roman Oben, Miami’s Ed Reed, North Carolina’s Ron Rusnak, NC State’s Mario Williams, Pitt’s Mark May, Syracuse’s Don McPherson, Virginia’s Herman Moore, Virginia Tech’s Eddie Royal and Wake Forest’s Steve Justice.
