UNC senior guard Paris Kea was included Tuesday on the Wade Trophy Watch List, which was announced by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association.

The Wade Trophy is the oldest and most prestigious national player of the year honor in women’s college basketball.

A Preseason All-ACC selection, Kea has also been included on the watch lists for the John R. Wooden Award and the Naismith Award this year–two of the other national player of the year honors.

Through four games this season, the Greensboro native is averaging 15.5 points per game while the Tar Heels are currently 3-1 overall.

Next on the schedule for Kea and UNC is a trip to the U.S. Virgin Islands for the Paradise Jam. A showdown with UCLA on Thanksgiving is the first game the Tar Heels will play in the event.
