The top-ranked UNC women’s team kept its unblemished record in ACC play intact on Friday night, picking up a 5-2 victory on the road over the Syracuse Orange.
UNC (21-1, 9-0) stayed undefeated overall in doubles play to take the match’s opening point, before going on to win four of the six singles contests.
The Tar Heels received victories from Sara Daavettila (6-1, 6-2), Alexa Graham (6-3, 6-2), Jessie Aney (6-1, 7-6) and Cameron Morra (3-6, 6-1, 6-0) to get the job done.
Syracuse fell to 11-7 this season, with a 4-5 mark inside the conference.
