In a battle of top-five ACC programs on Sunday in Chapel Hill, the top-ranked UNC women’s tennis team was dominant in a 7-0 shutout victory over No. 5 Florida State.
UNC handily won the doubles point to begin the match, then quickly closed it out with three consecutive singles victories in straight sets from Fiona Crawley (6-0, 6-0), Cameron Morra (6-1, 6-0) and Reilly Tran (7-5, 6-4).
The Tar Heels won each of the other three singles matches as well once the team victory had already been wrapped up, improving to 13-0 this season and winning the program’s 31st consecutive dual match overall.
Florida State fell to 9-3 overall with the loss and 4-2 inside the ACC.
