Outstanding play on the field for UNC this season helped running back Michael Carter and linebacker Chazz Surratt each earn invitations Thursday to the 2021 Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama.

The Senior Bowl–which will be held on Jan. 30, 2021–is widely regarded as the top college all-star game showcase for seniors expected to be selected in the 2021 NFL Draft, as players are coached and prepared for the game by NFL staffs.

Carter has run for 807 yards and four touchdowns on just 116 carries this season while splitting time with Javonte Williams. He has also caught 21 passes for 229 yards and two scores.

Surratt, meanwhile, has been the heart of the UNC defense–leading the team with 68 tackles and five sacks.

Both Tar Heels have won the ACC Player of the Week award for their position at least once this season.
