As UNC sophomore William Blumberg continues to make his way through the NCAA Men’s Tennis Singles Tournament, he and partner Robert Kelly also won their opening match in the NCAA Doubles Tournament on Thursday.
The No. 2 overall seed, Blumberg and Kelly defeated the pair of Billy Griffith and T.J. Nishimura from California by a score of 6-4, 6-4 in order to advance to the Round of 16.
Next up for the talented duo is South Carolina’s Yancy Dennis and Gabriel Friedrich on Friday, with that match scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m.
