Junior third baseman Kyle Datres was among four Tar Heels listed on the All-ACC Baseball rosters, which were announced Monday by the league.
Datres–who led the team with a .344 batting average and 109 total bases–was UNC’s only All-ACC First Team selection. The Second Team included sophomore first baseman Michael Busch and junior outfielder Brandon Riley, while sophomore shortstop Ike Freeman was named to the Third Team.
Busch finished the regular season with a team-high 11 home runs and 51 RBIs, while finishing second to Datres by hitting .305. Riley, meanwhile, hit for a .301 average and was second on the team with 46 RBIs.
In his first season as a starter, Freeman was outstanding in the field at shortstop and also displayed a solid bat–hitting .280 with 42 RBIs.
NC State and Louisville led all schools with seven All-ACC selections. Clemson and Georgia Tech each had six players recognized, with UNC, Duke and Florida State all having four apiece.
