For the second consecutive week, UNC senior forward Giovanni Montesdeoca was selected Monday as the ACC Men’s Soccer Co-Offensive Player of the Week.
Montesdeoca had a goal and an assist in UNC’s 2-0 win over Virginia this past Saturday, one game after scoring twice to lead the Tar Heels to victory over Pitt.
UNC has won each of its first two ACC matches since the spring season began, largely due to Montesdeoca’s efforts on offense.
Notre Dame forward Jack Lynn shared this week’s ACC honor with Montesdeoca.
The Tar Heels are currently 5-3-2 overall and 5-1-2 inside the ACC. Their next match is scheduled for this Saturday at Syracuse.
