Following an impressive three-game sweep over Clemson this past weekend, the UNC baseball team jumped up four spots to No. 14 in this week’s Baseball America Top 25 rankings.

The Tar Heels began the week with a loss to Liberty last Tuesday, but rebounded strong against the Tigers to improve their record to 10-4 overall and 6-3 inside the ACC.

Third baseman Clemente Inclan powered the UNC offense, hitting a home run in each of the Tar Heels’ four games on the way to being named ACC Player of the Week.

The top six teams remain unchanged in this week’s rankings, featuring a heavy SEC presence with No. 1 Arkansas, No. 2 Mississippi State, No. 3 Vanderbilt and No. 4 Mississippi representing the top four teams and No. 6 Florida also representing the conference behind No. 5 Miami from the ACC.

The rest of the top 10 consists of: No. 7 Texas Tech, No. 8 Louisville, No. 9 East Carolina and No. 10 Texas.

UNC is one of eight ACC schools among this week’s rankings, joining Miami, Louisville, No. 11 Georgia Tech, No. 13 Virginia Tech, No. 15 Notre Dame, No. 19 Pittsburgh and No. 21 Boston College.

The Tar Heels return to action on Tuesday with a non-conference game at Liberty.
