Baseball America released its final Top 25 rankings this past Friday, with UNC ending the year in the No. 4 spot after making its seventh trip to the College World Series in the last 13 seasons.

The Tar Heels posted a 44-20 record with a 22-8 regular season mark against ACC opponents–good enough for the top seed in the conference tournament and the ACC Coastal Division title.

Despite falling short of the semifinals at the ACC Tournament, UNC rallied by winning five straight games in the NCAA Tournament to punch its ticket to Omaha.

A win over eventual national champion Oregon State in their College World Series opener looked to have the Tar Heels in a good spot to win the program’s first NCAA title, but back-to-back losses to Mississippi State and Oregon State ultimately ended that dream.

Oregon State topped Baseball America’s final poll, with Arkansas, Florida, UNC and Texas Tech rounding out the top five.

Other teams in the top 10 include: No. 6 Mississippi State, No. 7 Texas, No. 8 Minnesota, No. 9 Washington and No. 10 Duke.

The ACC had a total of five teams in the final rankings, with No. 19 Clemson, No. 20 Florida State and No. 22 NC State joining the Tar Heels and Blue Devils.
