Junior shortstop Logan Warmoth hit three doubles Wednesday night–while tallying three RBIs–as the fourth-ranked Tar Heels knocked off the Campbell Camels at Boshamer Stadium by a score of 7-1.

The first round MLB Draft prospect helped UNC (33-9) extend its narrow 1-0 lead with a two-run double in the bottom of the fifth inning–before adding another RBI two-bagger in the sixth.

Warmoth was helped by classmate Zack Gahagan, who started at first base for the Tar Heels.

Gahagan contributed a pair of doubles himself, including one that drove home a pair of runs in the seventh inning–while also finishing off UNC’s scoring for the night.

The five doubles from Warmoth and Gahagan accounted for all but two of the Tar Heels’ seven hits.

On the mound, junior Jason Morgan received the call to start–but he only lasted three innings as head coach Mike Fox ultimately decided to use five different pitchers to get the job done.

Campbell (19-23) managed just three hits throughout the entirety of the game, with its lone run coming in the top of the ninth inning while trailing by a significant margin.
