UNC third baseman Clemente Inclan was selected as the ACC Baseball Player of the Week on Monday, after hitting a home run in all four games the Tar Heels played.
The four homers were also the first four of the redshirt junior’s career. He became the first Tar Heel to go deep in four straight games since former MLB first-round draft pick Michael Busch accomplished the feat in April 2019.
After falling to Liberty last Tuesday despite Inclan’s offensive efforts, the Tar Heels rebounded over the weekend with a three-game sweep over Clemson–improving to 10-4 on the season and 6-3 inside the ACC.
Inclan hit. 364 for the week and collected eight RBIs, while also scoring six runs himself.
This is the first ACC weekly award of his career.
UNC returns to action on Tuesday with a road game at Liberty, where Inclan will look to get the Tar Heels some revenge for last week’s loss.
