For the second time so far in 2018, UNC junior Catherine Hayden was named the ACC Field Hockey Co-Offensive Player of the Week–coming off a weekend where she scored the game-winner in both of the Tar Heels’ wins over No. 16 Wake Forest and No. 19 Liberty.
She shared the award this week with Duke’s Rose Tynan.
Hayden has six game-winning goals this season, and leads the entire ACC with 12 total.
With Hayden leading the charge, the Tar Heels are currently the top-ranked team in the nation with a perfect record of 13-0.
The next game on the schedule for head coach Karen Shelton’s squad is this Friday at No. 12 Boston College.
