The National Soccer Coaches Association of America released its college All-American teams on Tuesday, with UNC freshman midfielder Cam Lindley being named to the Second Team.

A native of Carmel, Indiana, Lindley started all of the Tar Heels’ 21 games during their run to the NCAA Semifinals in Houston.

Known for his playmaking ability in the middle of the pitch, Lindley tallied seven assists during the season on his way to earning First Team All-ACC and ACC Freshman of the Year honors as well.

Lindley was the only freshman in the country to receive All-American status–showing just how bright of a future he has in Chapel Hill.

The only Tar Heel to earn the honor as well, he’ll represent the school when he travels to Los Angeles to be recognized at the NCSAA’s All-American Luncheon alongside the other 35 players selected.

That ceremony will be held on Jan. 14, 2017 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
