Despite the Tar Heels getting swept at home this past weekend by Notre Dame, UNC sophomore Aaron Sabato was still named the ACC Baseball Player of the Weekย  on Monday for his efforts in the series–which included three home runs.

Sabato–a Preseason All-American–also homered earlier in the week, giving him four big flies in just 15 at-bats. The slugger also drew 11 walks as he ended the week with an insane on-base percentage of .615 through UNC’s five games.

This represents the second ACC Player of the Week honor of his career, and first time a Tar Heel has won the award this season.
