The Tar Heels are one of four ACC teams in the poll. Florida State leads the way at No. 4, while Duke and Miami also rose to Nos. 18 and 20 after convincing home wins against Northwestern and Bethune-Cookman, respectively. Clemson, Syracuse and Louisville also received votes but remained unranked. For a full look at this week’s AP Poll, click here.
Carolina will be back in action next Saturday night in its ACC opener when it visits unranked Pittsburgh at 8 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ACC Network. The Tar Heels haven’t won at Pitt since Mack Brown returned to the head coaching role in 2019, with both losses coming in overtime. UNC hasn’t started 4-0 since the 1997 season, Brown’s last year with the team before leaving to take the head coaching job at Texas.
