Following its season-opening win against South Carolina, the UNC football team moved up four spots to No. 17 in the newest AP Poll, which was released Tuesday. The Coaches Poll ranked UNC at No. 16.

Also representing the ACC in the AP Poll are No. 4 Florida State, No. 21 Duke and No. 25 Clemson. Florida State moved up four spots are defeating then-No. 5 LSU on Sunday, while Duke moved into the rankings after beating then-No. 9 Clemson on Monday night. The Tar Heels now have two ranked teams on their schedule: the Blue Devils and Tigers, which Carolina will play in consecutive weeks in November. UNC’s next game is the home opener against Appalachian State on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:15 p.m. in Kenan Stadium.
