Marcus Paige is heading to Serbia.
The former UNC star point guard agreed Wednesday to sign a two-year contract with Partizan Belgrade of the Serbian League, after spending last season on a two-way contract with the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets.
Playing mostly for the Greensboro Swarm of the NBA G-League during the 2017-18 campaign, Paige averaged 15.2 points, three rebounds and 4.4 assists per game.
In five games for the Hornets last year, the Iowa native contributed 2.4 points per game in limited minutes off the bench.
Now, though, he’ll take his talents to the capital of Serbia–looking to earn more playing time, while gaining valuable experience for the longterm.
