Former UNC guard Danny Green–now with the Toronto Raptors–was selected Tuesday to participate in the NBA Three-Point Shooting Contest as part of the league’s upcoming All-Star weekend festivities in Charlotte.

This will mark the second consecutive year in which a former Tar Heel has been included in the event, with Wayne Ellington of the Miami Heat earning the honor last season.

Green, who was a critical piece of UNC’s 2009 national championship team, is in his first year with Toronto after being traded there in the offseason from the San Antonio Spurs alongside perennial MVP candidate Kawhi Leonard. He had been with the Spurs for the previous eight seasons.

So far this season, Green is shooting 42 percent from behind the three-point line and has made 118 total shots from long range.

Joining him in this year’s three point contest is a list of players that includes: Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors), Seth Curry (Portland Trailblazers), Devin Booker (Phoenix Suns), Khris Middleton (Milwaukee Bucks), Joe Harris (Brooklyn Nets), Buddy Hield (Sacramento Kings), Dirk Nowitzki (Dallas Mavericks), Damian Lillard (Portland Trailblazers) and Kemba Walker (Charlotte Hornets).

The event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 16 at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte and will be televised by TNT. Coverage begins at 7 p.m.
