UPDATE: The Orange County Sheriff’s Office shared a post at 8:44 a.m. on Friday saying Haylee Moore has been safely located.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office put out an alert to the public Thursday morning, asking for assistance in locating a teenager reported missing.
The release shared that authorities are looking for 15-year-old Haylee Moore, who lives north of Hillsborough off Coleman Loop. According to the sheriff’s office, Moore left her home between late Sunday night on Dec. 29 and early Monday morning — and was formally reported missing just before dawn on Monday.
Moore is described as 5-foot-2, weighing approximately 130 pounds, and has brown eyes and long brown hair that could be in braids, according to pictures provided by the sheriff’s office. Thursday’s release said it is possible Moore could be in the Mebane area.
