A pedestrian was struck in the University Place parking lot Wednesday afternoon.

Chapel Hill Fire and other emergency services responded to the mall parking lot just before 2:45 p.m. Wednesday. Chapel Hill Police and Fire spokesperson Ran Northam confirmed that crews were on the scene due to a report of a pedestrian being struck.

Northam did not have specific details but said any injuries did not appear to be severe. Northam said the pedestrian was able to make their way into the mall and call police.
