The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating Mary Elizabeth McDonald, 22, of Carrboro.
McDonald is 5-foot-3 and approximately 135 pounds. She has brown hair and blue eyes, and a surgical scar that begins just below her collarbones.

McDonald has not been in contact with her mother or any known associates since October 2, 2021. She was last seen on that date at the Valero gas station on Highway 70 in Mebane, not far from the Alamance County line.
The sheriff’s office said although McDonald has a Carrboro address, she has not been staying there recently. Deputies have since entered McDonald into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) as a missing person.
The public is asked to call Investigator Baldwin at (919) 245-2939 with any information on her whereabouts.
