UPDATE: A release from the Town of Chapel Hill on Thursday, May 6, said Miguel Jaime has been located and is safe.


The Chapel Hill Police Department is searching again for teenager who previously went missing over the weekend.

A release from the department on Monday said 15-year-old Miguel Jaime has not been seen since Sunday, May 5 at 10:30 a.m. Police said Jaime was in the 200 block area of Erwin Road in Chapel Hill.

Jaime is described as 6-foot-1, weighing around 230 lbs with brown eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a khaki-colored hooded sweatshirt, pants and a red backpack.

Jamie previously went missing last weekend, when police said he hadn’t been seen since Thursday, April 29. He was eventually located and found safe.

Anyone who has seen Jaime or has information on his whereabout is encouraged to call 911 or the Orange County Communications Center at 919-732-5063.

This is the second missing persons case the Chapel Hill Police have asked for the public’s help in solving in the span of a week. Police are also searching for 34-year-old Jillian Jefferson Harris, who was last seen leaving UNC Hospitals around on Tuesday, April 27.
