The Chapel Hill Police Department is turning to the public to help find a missing person on Monday night.
The department shared a release saying it is searching for 65-year-old Rebecca “Gayle” Banks, who was last seen on Friday, February 18.

Chapel Hill Police said Banks was last reported at a Lindsay Street residence in Chapel Hill on Friday. The department asked the public to look out for a black 2010 Mazda Tribute with the North Carolina license plate HMY-7539, which Banks may be driving.
Authorities said anyone with information on Banks’ potential whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Chapel Hill Police Department directly at 919-968-2760 or call 911. The Chapel Hill-Carrboro-UNC Crimestoppers phone line, which is 919-942-7515, is also an option for those who wish to stay anonymous.
